Melanie Smith, OTD, OTR/L

Ms. Melanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Liberty University before following her passion to become an occupational therapist. She studied at Wingate University where she earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree and completed clinicals in Charlotte, NC.

Ms. Melanie strives to create an environment where parents and caregivers have a safe place to voice their intentions and concerns for their child. Throughout the evaluation and intervention process, she creates opportunities for the child to learn and grow. Through play-based experiences, she intentionally builds skills to enhance their abilities and meet their individual needs.

Ms. Melanie says, “there is something truly special and rewarding about empowering children and families to live their lives more fully! I love being able to play a role in helping children overcome obstacles and accomplish their goals!”

Ms. Melanie is excited to bring her creativity and innovative ideas to Integration Station’s families and is thrilled to be a part of a like-minded team of supportive therapists.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring coffee shops, playing boardgames with friends, and snuggling with her cat.
