Jill Shuter, MOT, OTR/L
Jill Shuter attended the University of Florida where she achieved her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy. She is licensed as an occupational therapist in Florida and North Carolina.
Ms. Jill’s passion to help others, and particularly children, led to specializing in pediatrics by delivering interventions to children in their homes, schools, sensory clinics, and via telehealth.
Ms. Jill says, “It is amazing to be a part of such growth and development, while forming connections with children and their families. My goal is to always strengthen my understanding of what is most important to each child and their family so I can deliver the most effective and beneficial therapy program.”
Ms. Jill’s desire to deliver support to children and their families in the most effective manner is why she became a Certified Autism Specialist, certified Therapeutic Listening provider, and uses the SOS Approach to Feeding. Additionally, Ms. Jill provides therapeutic interventions including Astronaut Training, Handwriting Without Tears, DIR/Floortime, the Alert Program, DPPT Brushing Protocol and interventions for Sensory Processing Disorder.
Ms. Jill says, “I love working with such a talented and experienced team…alongside others who share my passion for working with children. The atmosphere is inviting, happy, and creative for children-and adults, too!” Jill displays her passion for helping children beyond intervention sessions, as she mentors her clinical team as their Lead Therapist.
When Ms. Jill is not at IS, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys time in the outdoors and baking new recipes.
