Kayla Bogdan, MS, OTR/L
Kayla brings warmth, creativity, and plenty of playfulness to her role as an occupational therapist at Integration Station. After earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts, she gained experience working in preschool settings with sensory and behavioral programs and providing early intervention sessions for children from birth to three. Those early experiences helped shape her child-led approach, where she incorporates each child’s interests into therapy, turning hard work into joyful play.
For Kayla, the most exciting part of her job is building meaningful connections with children and their families and celebrating each milestone together, whether it’s mastering a fine motor skill, finding new ways to self-regulate, or discovering confidence in social play. She’s motivated by watching children gain the skills they need to succeed and seeing the sense of accomplishment they carry with them long after therapy.
Outside of work, Kayla loves going for walks, cooking, reading, and taking on DIY projects. She shares her home with two lively German Shepherds, Max and Sophie, and grew up with a family tortoise named Shelly, who is now 18 years old and could live up to 80! Her favorite book is The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, and her dream superpower would be teleportation so she could instantly visit family across the country.
Kayla says the best part about working at Integration Station is being part of a team that celebrates both the big and small accomplishments of clients and colleagues alike. With her compassionate spirit and playful energy, Kayla makes every child feel supported, safe, and excited to grow.
