Rachel Roberts, MOT, OTR/L
Rachel is all about balance—whether it’s planning and delivering evidence-based treatments, collaborating with her teammates, or making sure families feel supported and empowered every step of the way. She thrives on teamwork, communication, and making sure every session flows smoothly (punctuality is her superpower—she’s always early and always ready!).
Since earning her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, Rachel has been serving children and families in the Charlotte area since 2019. She’s a Certified Autism Specialist with additional training in Eyesight to Insight and Therapeutic Listening, and she loves seeing how even the smallest victories can have the biggest impact.
Her path to OT was inspired by her own family—growing up with a dad who was a quadriplegic and a mom who was his primary caregiver. Watching the impact of care and support firsthand, Rachel knew she wanted to help others. After shadowing a pediatric OT at her mom’s elementary school, she found her calling and never looked back.
Rachel joined Integration Station after becoming a mom herself, searching for a workplace where she could find support, collaboration, and work-life balance—and she found exactly that. She loves the team spirit at IS and the joy that comes from celebrating every child’s progress, big or small.
Outside of work, Rachel is a lifelong dancer (18 years on stage, including ballet in college!) who still enjoys dancing, running, reading, and spending time with her two daughters. Her motto? “Dance like no one is watching, sing as if no one is listening, and live each day as if it is your last.”
Some fun favorites: coffee over tea, Never Lie by Frieda McFadden, Paris as a dream destination, and hanging out with her pups Max and Finn. Hidden talents? Dancing and singing. Dream superpower? Flying—or better yet, teleportation (because what parent doesn’t wish for that?).
