Shannon Gaetke-Weiss, OTD, OTR/L

Shannon Gaetke-Weiss attended the College of Charleston and earned her BS in Exercise Science before pursuing her Doctor of Occupational Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She is licensed to practice in Georgia and North Carolina.

Ms. Shannon has a deeply rooted passion for working with children. She provides individualized care to each of her clients and their families using various specialized intervention protocols. She specializes in Cortical Vision Impairments, DIR/Floortime relationship development, Social Thinking, pediatric kinesiotaping, Handwriting Without Tears, Astronaut Training, and is a Certified Autism Specialist.

When asked why Ms. Shannon feels so passionate about working in pediatrics she said, “Kids are fun! I can use my creative side to help them and their families with games, crafts, and daily activities. And their smiles when the reach their goals makes everything worth it!”

Prior to joining Integration Station Pediatric Therapy Services, Ms. Shannon practiced near Atlanta, GA in a pediatric clinic. Now that she has been at IS for a while Ms. Shannon says, “IS really is a team. You’re supported on all fronts and can learn from everyone around you.”

In her free time, Ms. Shannon sharpens her ukulele skills, drinks (too much) coffee, and snuggles with her mini dachshund.
