Nicole Cyphert, MS, OTR/L, CEO

From a young age, Ms. Nicole found herself helping others and seeking opportunities to care for children, but it wasn’t until high school that she would learn about occupational therapy and the world of pediatric OT.

Nicole Cyphert, went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science followed by her accelerated Master of Science in Occupational Therapy through Gannon University in Erie, PA. She began working under a provisional OT license in a pediatric clinic as she studied for the National Board Certification of Occupational Therapy and successfully secured her NC OT License.

Ms. Nicole has practiced for over 15 years in pediatrics providing skilled intervention to children and adolescents experiencing a variety of challenges, some of which include Autism Spectrum Disorders, Tic and Tourette’s, Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Trauma, Global Developmental Delays, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia and a myriad of other genetic and neurological conditions.

Ms. Nicole says, “I can’t believe all of the challenges that my families face and are able to overcome. I feel so fortunate to be a small step in their climb towards success!”

Ms. Nicole is a Certified Autism Specialist, is certified in Sensory Integration and the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test, and the Therapeutic Listening Program. Through extensive training, Ms. Nicole delivers evidence-based therapeutic interventions to her clients through the application of DIR/Floortime, Coaching, Motor Learning Theories, TAMO, NDT, Reflex Integration, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), Social Thinking Curriculums, the Alert Program, Wilbarger Therapressure Program, Handwriting Without Tears, Beckman Oral Motor Protocols, and many others.

Currently, she is working towards becoming a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) and plans to provide improved client outcomes through education, assessment, and training of families so they can successfully meet their child’s diet and nutritional needs.

In addition to her role as a treating occupational therapist, Ms. Nicole is the Director of Practice and CEO. This basically means she wears a lot of hats at any one given time, with the goal of ensuring that children are given the opportunity to be their best. When she reflects on her IS Family Ms. Nicole says, “Our Team is dynamic, brilliant, compassionate, and dedicated, while the IS clients are warriors and champions in their own right! They all inspire and drive me to be a better clinician, advocate, teacher, and mentor. Who wouldn’t want to be apart of such an amazing group?!?”
